Selena
Selena underwent a brain tumor resection on May 17, 2010 at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas after a tumor was discovered March 5, 2010. The tumor location was in her left-temporal parietal lobe region and was identified as an Angiocentric Glioma. We learned shortly after surgery, Selena was the 26th person in the world ever diagnosed with an Angiocentric Glioma.
It has been nearly 9 years since her surgery and another school year has almost passed as Selena continues to demonstrate positive progress in all areas and will advance to 9th Grade. Overall we are extremely pleased with the progress Selena continues to make on this journey and we count our blessings daily. As we reflect on our past and ponder the future we are certain that a big part of our family healing has been impart to the community support and through the answered prayers.
